Robert E. Kielb
Robert E. Kielb is Senior Research Scientist & Associate Chair at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Duke University. His research is in turbomachinery aeroelasticity. He has over 40 years of experience including 8 years with the U. S. Air Force, 10 years with NASA Glenn Research Center, 12 years with GE Aircraft Engines, and 11 years with Duke University. He is also an Affiliated Professor at the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology and Director of the GUIde 4 Consortium (6 companies and 6 universities). Dr. Kielb is a Fellow of the ASME and is a Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the International Gas Turbine Institute. He is the co-recipient of ASME’s 2001 Melville Award and IGTI’s 2010 John P. Davis Award.
